Kiulu River is located on the north-western part of Sabah in a small town called Kiulu which are recognized as being the second most beautiful village in Malaysia. Kiulu River is calssified as Class I – II river. This is more of a beginner’s river suitable for beginners aged 5 years old to 65 years old that craves mild adventure whilst safely enjoy the rafting trip. Kiulu River Rafting is an experience not to be missed and best of all, it’s not as daunting as it sounds – even novices can safely take part! Suitable for an entire family outing. The Kiulu river is an hour and a half by road north of Kota Kinabalu. Take in the magnificent views of the surrounding countryside from the hilltops as you drive to the town of Tamparuli. Greeted by water buffalo’s at the river bank, the excursion begins with a safety briefing session conducted by our professional raft guide that will demonstrates rafting techniques and proper handling of rafting equipment before rafting commences. Excursion covers up to 15km, making it the longest white water rafting trip in Borneo. The journey will take about 1 ½ – 2 hours of rafting before reaching the ending point where delicious picnic lunch prepared just by the riverbank.
