Day 1~ Kota Kinabalu Airport To Kota Kinabalu City 

As a introduction for you, first your will check in your prefer hotel then we will go for Kota Kinabalu city tour.

It is a unique place to visit is Tun Mustapha Tower (Sabah Foundation Building). This 30 storey building has 72 polygon sides and 2,160 reflective glass panels and able to stand 272km wind speed. The Mosque, Chinese Buddhist Temple, State Museum and course, do not miss to go to the Signal Hill to view the Kota Kinabalu City and its surroundings area.

The tour estimated times is about 3 hours and course, it will cover places such as the Tun Mustapha Tower, Mosque, Chinese Temple, Signal Hill, the State Museum, and Tanjung Aru First Beach.

Day 2~ Mari Culture Village & Klias Wetland

Meet at your hotel lobby at 0800 and travel approximately 25 minutes to the distrct of Inanam. Upon your arrival, your in-house guide will bring you in with a traditional ceremony entering the village for morning tour session. In the village, you will be introduced to various traditional homes of Sabahan ethnic communities the Bajau , Lundayeh, Murut, Rungus and Dusun, which are built by descendants of the tribes which they represent. Activities such as food tasting, tattoo making, blowpipes, traditional musical instrument, cultural dance performance, will take about 2 hours to complete thereafter lunch will be served at 1200. Your transportation will be waiting to transfer you to Klias Wetland.

An estimate 2 hours overland journey, for an experience of watching the Proboscis monkey along the mangrove river. In nature, Borneo is the only known place where these creatures inhabit. Arriving at the Jetty, you be serve with some refreshment before your boat cruise which start at 1630 hours. A return boat trip of 1½ hours searching for these rare species might giving you the opportunity of seeing other wildlife such as the Silver Langgur Monkey leaf, Eustarian Crocodile, Monitor Lizard, etc. On your way back to the jetty, we will search for fireflies (if weather permits) displaying their spectacular synchronized lightings occupying a whole grown tree. A typical Malaysian food will be served during dinner and thereafter we depart back for Kota Kinabalu.

Day 3~ “The Survivor Island” Tiga Island

You be met by 0700 hours at your hotel lobby and overland transfer of 1 hour 45 minutes to Pulau Tiga jetty at Kuala Penyu. Passing through historical villages with countryside scenery. Upon your arrival, you might have the opportunity to wonder the small town of Kuala Penyu before the schedule boat at 0930 hours to the Survivor Island. The boat ride transfer will take approximately 30 minutes, where you be met by their in-house guide and they will brief you about the island and advise on your activities such as walk to the “Mud Volcano”, Snorkelling, Jungle Trail, Kayaking, or simply relax at the beachside.

Lunch will be provide at the restaurant which you also may buy some snacks and beverages. An option of visiting the “Snake Island” are available upon request. The boat schedule coming out from the Island are at 1530 hours and your transportation will transfer you back to your hotel at Kota Kinabalu.

End of Tour and Free & Easy for the rest of the day.

Day 4~ Tip’s Of Borneo Journey

You be meet at the Airport or Hotel then proceed to Tip of Borneo, located 40 kilometres to the northwest of Kudat town. The journey will pass through coconut plantations and remote villages. In general, Kudat is located some 3 hours to the north of Kota Kinabalu. The first stop will be at Gombizau village, honey Bee Farm. For many generations, the people of Kampung Gombizau has been consuming raw honey as it is believed and has been proven to possess remedial properties; other than being able to lend its superior taste to food when used in cooking.

The next stop at Sumangkap village is a “Gong Making Village”, the gong is the most important Rungus musical instrument which is played during festivities and grand occasions such as weddings. We proceed to Bavanggazo Rungus long house for lunch, here we may experience their cultural dance performance while having your local cuisine.

Simpang Mengayau literally means the ‘wandering crossroad promontory’. It is a headland at the end of a wide bay about 40 km to the north of the town of Kudat. The famous explorer Ferdinand Magellan is believed to have landed there and stayed for 42 days during his round-the-world voyage. That took place somewhere between 1519, when the expedition left Spain, and 1521, when Magellan was killed by the natives in Cebu, Philippines. Relax on some of the most beautiful beaches you’ll ever see, and if you are a diver you will find the area not only intriguing for its marine life, but also for the treasure trove of ancient wrecks that can be found in the north of Sabah. By late afternoon, we proceed to stay overnight at tip’s of Borneo lodge.

Day 5~ Kundasang ,Kinabalu Park & Poring.

After breakfast,  we will bring you to kinabalu National Park via Kota Belud Town and make a pit stop for wash room then continue to Nabalu Town  famous for their mountain view and handicraft shop. We proceed our journey to the park headquarters for the timpohon gate(starting point for mountain climb). Continue to poring hot spring for lunch either at Ranau. Once finish, we will proceed to canopy walk at Poring, which is an approximately 32km from the park headquarters. An option of butterfly farm, waterfall trail, batcave, tropical garden, or simply relax yourself at the hot sulphur pool and fish spa in Poring.

Day 6~ Mesilau Nature Trail ,Tea Sabah Plantations Garden & Desa Diary Cow Farm 

 After breakfast, we continue the tour to The Mesilau National Park, a great place to escape the hot tropical sun as the climate at this area is much cooler. It is reported to be 17 degrees Celsius during the day and drops to 10 degrees Celsius at night. The park is populated by a different kind of vegetation. It is very different from those seen in most tropical forests and this results in sparsely spaced tree concentration as it consists of a great range of ferns, fruiting shrubs, orchids, mosses, orchids, rhododendrons and the pitcher plant called the Nepenthes Raja.

There are several trails that one can embark on like the Kogonon Trail and the Nepenthes Raja Trail that will both take a good 30 minutes to complete. The number of bird species found here is impressive and do make sure you have your camera with you as there will be many photo opportunities.

Next we will proceed to Tea Sabah , Sabah Tea is the only organic tea farm in Borneo and one of the few in the world. A trip to the tea garden is both educational and fun, one where visitors can enjoy a variety of recreational activities such as obstacle-crossing in the Sapaon Recreational Area, trekking along the trails to the peak of Kamunsu Hill or embarking on a night walk to check out the unique insect life.

After Lunch, the tour continue to Desa Diary Cow Farm located at the foothill of Mt. Kinabalu, at the Mesilau Plateau, Kundasang, Ranau.Desa Dairy Farm provides good education for children even adults to understand how fresh milk is being processed from raw to finish product. The best time to visit the farm is around 2:30pm as milking session is starting at 3pm every day. You can see all the cows are lining up waiting for milking. Fresh milk in original & chocolate flavors is available for sales at the lobby. Some souvenir also available and it is always nice to grab something for friends and family other than fresh milk!

Day 7 ~Selingan Island

Next morning, after breakfast ,we will start the journey to sandakan the journey will take 3-4 hours. Once Arrive in Sandakan,you will be transfer to CQ Jetty for Selingan Turtle Island. This journey by motorised boat will take about 1 hour. After lunch, grab your mask, fins and snorkel and head to the beach where you can find lots of juvenile marine life or you can choose to relax or sun bathing by the beach. Before dinner, treat yourself to a slide show featuring information of the turtle park and turtles. After dinner, standby at the Cafeteria. Wait for Park Ranger’s signal before proceed in a small group to the egg-laying site to witness the mother turtle laying eggs, transferring of eggs to the hatchery and releasing of hatchlings to the sea. Stay overnight at Island Chalet.

Day 8 ~ Sepilok  & Sun Bear Conservation Centre & Rainforest Discovery Centre & Kinabatangan 

Wake up early in the morning for breakfast and depart from the island by 7.00am. Estimated arrival time at the jetty at about 8.00am. Once arrive, we will proceed to for Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre for the morning video show about the nursery purpose & objective. After the 20 minutes show, we proceed to the feeding platform where the park ranger will start the feeding at 1000 hours. By 1100 hours, freshen up before we depart for The Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, where you able to meet the world’s most smallest bear! The Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre is located next to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre and to all wildlife lovers out there. Sepilok is a must-visit!

After Lunch, The Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC) is the gateway to getting to know the uniqueness and importance of Borneo’s rainforests. Situated 23 kilometres from Sandakan Town and not too far from the Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre, the RDC’s main highlights are its exhibition halls, the Plant Discovery Garden, the Kapili-Sepilok Forest Reserve, environmental education programmes and a small lake for boat rides.The RDC also gives visitors a chance to get intimate with nature through its Nature Experience programme which includes a guided walk to the Plant Discovery Garden, Rainforest Walk and indoor/outdoor activities.

 We are expected to arrive at a jungle lodge located at Bilit, by 1500 hours. You be transfer to the lodge by local “sampan” boat which takes approximately 5 minutes, you have time to freshen up before 1600 hours for your afternoon boat cruise, searching for the wildlife that has been occupying the land before man. Few of the most commonly seen here are the Proboscis monkey, Oriental Pied Hornbill, Orang Utan, Long Tail Macaques, Stork Bill Kingfisher, to mention a few. The whole journey takes about 1 ½ hour return boat transfer till you reach your lodge before dinner. An option of night Jungle Walk (compulsory to take an in-house guide to avoid astray) can be arrange after dinner or simply relax to the sound of nature surrounding.

Day 9 ~ Oxbow Lake / Kinabatangan 

At 0600 hours, take another boat trip, this time, in search of birdlife aggressively plundering the river for food, birds abound in all shapes and forms. Back to the lodge for breakfast thereafter take a jungle walk to the ox-bow lakes. The lakes are the abode of freshwater fish, otters and sometime – wild elephants may be sighted. Trek back to the lodge just in time for lunch and you have your own activities until 1600 hours for another boat trip along the river.

Overnight at Bilit.

Day 10 ~ Gomantong Cave & Labuk Bay

After breakfast, You be transfer to for Gomantong cave. In the heartland of the Gomantong Rainforest Reserve have been the focus for birds’ nests for centuries. There are two cave complexes – Simud Hitam (Black Cave) soaring up to 90 metres high and the more accessible of the two, and Simud Putih (White Cave), where the more valuable nests are found. The resident creatures of the caves include swiftlets (from which the nests are collected) and bats among others. Outside, other birds such as serpent eagles, bat hawks and kingfishers can be seen.

The Tour continue to The Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary. It’s will offers another perfect proboscis monkeys observation spot for tourist who wants to look at these very unique primate. The sanctuary is located at the centre of the mangrove forest along the coastal land near Samawang Village. If you love taking close up pictures of the Proboscis Monkey, this is the best place. Currently there are 3 family groups and one bachelor group in the sanctuary. A chance to see Silver Leaf Monkey, Pig tailed Macaque, Oriental Pied Hornbill, Otter, White-bellied Woodpecker and Kingfishers too.

Return to Sandakan City and Stay Overnight. Free & Easy the rest of the day

Day 11 ~ Sandakan Memorial Park & Sandakan Centre Market

After Breakfast, we will visit the the Sandakan Memorial Park. This site commemorates a tragedy and atrocity which struck Sandakan between January and August 1945. The Memorial Park witnessed the death of approximately 2400 Australian and British prisoners of war. War that held by the Japanese in the Sandakan POW camp. Within the sight of Allied victory in the Pacific war. The park also includes a small museum. They serves as a memorial to the thousands of Australian and British that died by the Japanese during WWII.

The memory of WWII is emphasized by the rusting remains of an excavator and a generator. Also, a boiler which still lie in their original positions near the steps leading up to a small Commemorative Pavilion. Finally, before tour ended we will visit the Sandakan Centre Market to buy some souvenir for you to take home.

Transfer you to Sandakan City Airport for you flight to Kuala Lumpur…
