Day 1Borneo Eco Tours ~ Kota Kinabalu Airport To Kota Kinabalu City 

First, after you check in to your hotel, you can take a short rest. Then, we will begin your fun Kota Kinabalu City Tour with Borneo Eco Tours.
Also, this city tour is a great way to see many interesting places in a short time. With Borneo Eco Tours, you will visit some of the best spots in the city.
To begin, we will take you to the Tun Mustapha Tower. Besides, this is a very tall and round building with 30 floors. Furthermore, it has over 2,000 glass panels and can stand very strong winds. It is one of the most special buildings in Sabah.
Next, we will go to the City Mosque, which is white and beautiful. After that, we will visit the Chinese Buddhist Temple. It is a quiet place with nice statues and decorations.

Day 2 Borneo Eco Tours~ Mari Culture Village & Klias Wetland

Welcome to Borneo Eco Tours! Today, you will enjoy a full day of fun, culture, and nature. This tour is easy, relaxing, and perfect for all ages.
Next, morning – Visit the Cultural Village
First, at 8:00 AM, the Borneo Eco Tours team will pick you up from your hotel. After that, we will drive about 25 minutes to a quiet village in Inanam.
When you arrive, your Borneo Eco Tours guide will greet you. Then, you will join a short welcome ceremony before the tour begins.
Next, you will walk around and visit five traditional houses from different Sabah tribes:
  • Bajau
  • Dusun
  • Murut
  • Rungus
  • Lundayeh
Additionally, each house is built by the real people from the tribe. Besides, you can go inside and look around.
Then, you will join some fun and easy cultural activities:
  • Taste local food
  • Try temporary tribal tattoos
  • Use a blowpipe
  • Play traditional music
  • Watch a Sabah dance show
After the activities, you will eat a local lunch at the village.
Afternoon – River Cruise at Klias Wetland
Next, at around 1:00 PM, Borneo Eco Tours will take you on a 2-hour drive to the Klias Wetland.
When you arrive, you will enjoy some light snacks and drinks at the jetty. After a short rest, your Borneo Eco Tours boat cruise will begin at 4:30 PM.
Moreover, on the river, you will look for the Proboscis monkey. Also, these special monkeys only live in Borneo. You may also see:

Day 3 Borneo Eco Tours~ “The Survivor Island” Tiga Island

Start your fun day with Borneo Eco Tours!
First, at 7:00 AM, the Borneo Eco Tours team will pick you up from your hotel in Kota Kinabalu. Then, you will enjoy a 1 hour and 45 minutes drive to Kuala Penyu Jetty. Along the way, you will pass by quiet villages and green countryside. It is a nice and peaceful ride.
Then, when you reach the jetty, you will have some free time to walk around Kuala Penyu town. After that, at 9:30 AM, you will take a 30-minute boat ride to the beautiful Pulau Tiga, also known as Survivor Island.
Later, once you arrive on the island, your friendly Borneo Eco Tours guide will welcome you. Next, they will give you a short safety briefing and explain what you can do on the island.
Furthermore, during your stay, Borneo Eco Tours offers many fun and easy activities:
  • Walk to the mud volcano and try the mud bath
  • Go snorkeling in clear water
  • Take a short jungle walk
  • Try kayaking near the shore
  • Or just relax on the beach
After enjoying your morning, you will have a simple lunch at the island restaurant. Next, you can also buy snacks or cold drinks if you want.

Day 4 Borneo Eco Tours~ Tip’s Of Borneo Journey

Firstly, start your trip with Borneo Eco Tours. First, we will meet you at your hotel or airport in Kota Kinabalu. Then, we will begin a 3-hour drive to the Tip of Borneo.
On the way, Borneo Eco Tours will take you through peaceful villages, coconut farms, and green countryside. Furthermore, you can relax and enjoy the view.
After that, our first stop is at Gombizau village, honey Bee Farm. Here, you will learn how local people collect fresh honey. Also, the honey is natural and used for food and health. Borneo Eco Tours will let you taste the honey and show you how the bees live.
Next, we will go to Sumangkap Gong Village. This village is famous for making traditional gongs. Besides, these gongs are used in local weddings and festivals. With Borneo Eco Tours, you will see how people make the gongs and even try one yourself.

Day 5~ Kundasang ,Kinabalu Park & Poring.

Start your day with Borneo Eco Tours. First, after breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel. Then, we begin the trip to Kinabalu National Park
Along the way, Borneo Eco Tours will drive you through Kota Belud town. Next, we will stop for a short toilet break so you can stretch your legs or get a small snack.
Next, we will visit Nabalu Town. Here, you can see a beautiful view of Mount Kinabalu. Also, you can also look at the local market. Besides, there are many handmade gifts, fruits, and local snacks. It’s a good place for photos and shopping.
After that, Borneo Eco Tours brings you to the Kinabalu Park Headquarters. Furthermore, you will see the Timpohon Gate, the starting point for people who climb Mount Kinabalu. Moreover, you can enjoy the fresh cool air, take photos, and walk around the garden.
Then, we will go to Poring Hot Spring. Also, it is about 32 km from the park. But before that, Borneo Eco Tours will take you for a simple local lunch in Ranau town or nearby.

Day 6~ Mesilau Nature Trail ,Tea Sabah Plantations Garden & Desa Diary Cow Farm 

Start your day with Borneo Eco Tours. First, after you eat breakfast, we will take you to Mesilau National Park. Also, this place is cold, quiet, and very green. Besides, the air is fresh and nice. Furthermore, on the day, it is around 17°C, and at night it can go down to 10°C.
Then, Borneo Eco Tours will guide you to walk on easy trails. Additionally, you can choose the Kogonon Trail or the Nepenthes Trail. In addition, these walks are short and take about 30 minutes. Moreover, they are good for beginners.
Next, you will see many types of plants and flowers. Later, you can see ferns, orchids, moss, and the special Nepenthes Raja (pitcher plant). Then, if you love taking photos, this is a great place. Borneo Eco Tours will also help you look for colorful birds flying in the trees.

You can also try fresh milk and chocolate milk. Don’t forget to buy some souvenirs to take home.

Day 7 ~Selingan Island

First, in the morning, Borneo Eco Tours will pick you up after breakfast. We will drive to Sandakan. The drive takes about 3 to 4 hours.
Then, when we reach Sandakan, Borneo Eco Tours will bring you to CQ Jetty. From there, you will take a 1-hour boat ride to Selingan Turtle Island.
Next, you will arrive at the island. Borneo Eco Tours will help you check in to your room. After that, you will enjoy a simple lunch.
Later, you can go to the beach. You can swim, snorkel, or just relax. You might see small fish and other sea animals in the water. If you don’t want to swim, you can sit under the sun or walk by the sea.
Before dinner, Borneo Eco Tours will show you a slide show. You will learn about the turtles, the island, and how the rangers protect the eggs.
After dinner, you will wait at the Cafeteria. The Park Ranger will give a signal when a turtle comes to the beach.
Then, Borneo Eco Tours will take you in a small group to see the mother turtle lay her eggs. You will also:
  • Watch how the rangers collect the eggs
  • Visit the turtle hatchery
  • Help release baby turtles into the sea

Day 8 ~ Sepilok  & Sun Bear Conservation Centre & Rainforest Discovery Centre & Kinabatangan 

First, after you eat breakfast, Borneo Eco Tours will take you back to the mainland by boat. The boat ride takes 1 hour.
Then, when you reach the jetty, Borneo Eco Tours will bring you to the Sepilok Orangutan Centre.
Next, you will watch a short video about how orangutans learn to live in the forest again.
After that, you will walk to the feeding place. At 10:00 AM, you will see the orangutans come and eat. It is a good time to take photos.
Then, Borneo Eco Tours will bring you to the Sun Bear Centre. It is next to the orangutan place. Here you will see the smallest bear in the world.
Later, you will enjoy lunch. Borneo Eco Tours will serve you a simple local meal.
After lunch, the tour goes to the Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC). It is not far from Sepilok.
At RDC, you can:
  • Walk on the high Canopy Walk
  • Visit the garden with rainforest plants
  • Go to the exhibition hall
  • Look at the lake
  • Walk on easy jungle trails
Then, Borneo Eco Tours will take you to Bilit village. The drive takes about 1 hour.
Next, you will ride a small boat across the river. The ride takes just 5 minutes.

Day 9 ~ Oxbow Lake / Kinabatangan 

First, wake up early and get ready for a new day with Borneo Eco Tours. At 6:00 AM, you will join a morning boat ride along the river. This is the best time to see many beautiful birds flying and catching food.
Then, after your boat trip, Borneo Eco Tours will take you back to the lodge for a nice breakfast. You can enjoy a quiet meal in the middle of the jungle.
Next, after breakfast, Borneo Eco Tours will bring you on a short and easy jungle walk. You will walk to a special place called an ox-bow lake. This lake is round and close to the river.
At the ox-bow lake, you might see fish, birds, otters, and maybe even wild elephants if you are lucky. Borneo Eco Tours will guide you and help you spot the animals.
After that, you will walk back to your jungle lodge. Borneo Eco Tours will make sure the walk is slow and safe. You will arrive back just in time for a delicious lunch.

Finally, at around 4:00 PM, Borneo Eco Tours will take you on another boat trip. This is a good time to see more wildlife as animals come out in the evening.

Day 10 ~ Gomantong Cave & Labuk Bay

First, after breakfast, Borneo Eco Tours will take you to visit the Gomantong Cave. This big cave is inside the Gomantong Rainforest Reserve. People have collected bird nests here for many years.
Then, you will enter the Simud Hitam cave. This is also called the Black Cave. It is very tall, about 90 meters high. It is easy to walk inside.
Next, you will learn about another cave called Simud Putih, or White Cave. This cave is harder to reach, but it has the most valuable bird nests.
Inside the cave, you can see many bats and swiftlet birds.
Outside, you may also see birds like eagles, hawks, and kingfishers.
After that, Borneo Eco Tours will bring you to the Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary. This is the best place to see Proboscis Monkeys. These monkeys are easy to know because they have big noses and round bellies.
At the sanctuary, you will see:

Day 11 ~ Sandakan Memorial Park & Sandakan Centre Market

First, breakfast, Borneo Eco Tours will meet you and start your Sandakan City Tour.
We’ll set off on a city tour, visiting key landmarks like the Puu Jih Shih Temple, the WW2 Memorial Park, St. Michael’s Church, and Agnes Keith’s House. You’ll also have time to explore the central market and soak in the local culture.
Finally, we’ll transfer you to your hotel or Sandakan Airport, marking the end of your adventure.
