First, we pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 AM to start an exciting journey in the Kota Kinabalu & Kundasang Tour Package. As we drive, enjoy the beautiful views of the Crocker Range. Along the way, pass by the foothills of Mount Kinabalu, Malaysia’s tallest mountain. The journey takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes before we arrive at Pekan Nabalu.
Next, take a 30-minute break at Pekan Nabalu, a famous spot for local fruits, handmade crafts, and stunning mountain views. In the past, Sir Hugh Low used this place as his base camp to climb Mount Kinabalu. Today, visitors stop here to buy souvenirs, take photos, and enjoy the cool air.
Afterward, we continue to Kinabalu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with rare plants and animals. If you plan to climb Mount Kinabalu, you need to register here first. At 11:00 AM, follow a park ranger on a guided walk through the Botanical Garden. This 1.5-hour walk takes you through a nature trail and a garden trail, where you can see rare orchids, pitcher plants, and giant ferns.
Then, we move on to Poring Hot Springs, which is 32 km from the park headquarters. Walk through the lush rainforest, passing by bamboo trees, wild fruit trees, and ginger plants. Next, cross the 40-meter-high canopy walkway, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the jungle. Furthermore, if you are afraid of heights, you can skip this activity. After that, relax in the warm mineral-rich hot springs, which are known to be good for the skin and body.
For more fun, visit the Butterfly Farm, explore a short jungle trail, or try the Fish Massage. Later, we visit Desa Dairy Farm, where you can see cows, taste fresh milk, and enjoy the cool mountain air.
Finally, at 5:00 PM, we return to Kundasang for an overnight stay. The rest of the evening is free for you to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
