Day 1 Kota Kinabalu city tours.

When you arrive at the airport, start your Kota Kinabalu city tour.

First, visit the Sabah State Museum to see old things and learn about history. Then, go to the Sabah State Mosque, a big and beautiful prayer place.

Next, stop at the Chinese Buddhist Temple, a quiet and peaceful place to rest and think. Furthermore, keep going to Tun Mustapha Tower, a tall and shiny building with many glass windows. Besides, it is strong and can stand against strong winds. Then, you will visit Signal Hill Trail for KK city view.

To end the tour, visit a handicraft market to buy simple and nice gifts. After a fun day in Kota Kinabalu, we take you to your hotel to rest and relax.

Day 2 Kinabalu National Park Tour.

Start your Kundasang Kota Kinabalu Kinabatangan trip with a hotel pickup at 8:00 AM. As well, enjoy a nice drive to Kundasang, a cool town with fresh air and pretty mountain views.

On the way, stop at Pekan Nabalu, a small village with amazing Mount Kinabalu views. Also, walk around the market, take photos, and look at handmade crafts and fresh fruits. A long time ago, Sir Hugh Low stayed here before climbing Mount Kinabalu.

After a short rest, visit Kinabalu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site full of plants and animals. Go to the Botanical Garden to see beautiful orchids, big ferns, pitcher plants, and tall trees. Thereafter, at 11:00 AM, a park guide will show you special plants and animals. Then, take a 1-hour 30-minute jungle walk near Park HQ. Walk under big trees, listen to birds singing, and enjoy the cool air.

After the walk, have a tasty lunch at a local restaurant. Then, visit Poring Hot Springs for a fun and relaxing time. Walk in the green forest, pass bamboo trees and colorful flowers. Moreover, cross the 40-meter-high canopy walkway and see the forest from above. Then, soak in warm mineral water, which is good for your body.

If you want more fun, visit the Butterfly Farm or walk a short jungle trail. At 4:30 PM, return to Kundasang and stay overnight at Cottage Hotel. Get a good rest because more adventures in Kota Kinabalu and Kinabatangan are coming!

Day 3 Kinabatangan River Cruise. Kundasang Kota Kinabalu Kinabatangan

Begin your Kundasang Kota Kinabalu Kinabatangan trip with a five-hour drive to Bilit, a small village in Kinabatangan. Along the way, enjoy the fresh air, green trees, and peaceful views.

When you reach Bilit, the friendly staff will greet you. After that, sit down and enjoy afternoon tea with tasty local snacks. Then, listen to a short talk from your guide about the fun activities ahead.

Next, get ready for an exciting boat ride on the Kinabatangan River. At 4:00 PM, step onto the boat and start exploring Sabah’s longest river. As the boat moves, look around to see wild animals in the trees.

This place is home to 10 kinds of monkeys, including the Proboscis Monkey, Langur, and Orangutan. You can also spot eight types of Hornbills, such as the Rhinoceros Hornbill, Pied Hornbill, Black Hornbill, and the big Helmeted Hornbill, which weighs 50 kg and stands 120 cm tall.

Besides monkeys and birds, you may also see colorful Kingfishers, Bulbuls, Trogons, Flycatchers, and Sunbirds. There are also Broadbills, Herons, Mangrove Snakes, Vipers, Crocodiles, and even Asian Elephants near the water.

Day 4 Sepilok Rehabilitation Center & Airport. Kundasang Kota Kinabalu Kinabatangan

Start your day with a good breakfast in the morning. After eating, get ready for a fun trip. At 7:30 AM, take a 1 hour 45-minute drive to Sepilok, where you can see Orangutans.

When you reach the Orangutan Rehabilitation Center, get ready to watch them eat. At 10:00 AM, feeding time starts and lasts for one hour. This is the best time to see them up close in their forest home.

Next, visit the Nature Education Center to watch a 25-minute video about Orangutans and their rescue. After that, walk to the Exhibition Hall to learn more about these special animals.

Finally, go to Sandakan Airport for your 2:20 PM flight back to Kota Kinabalu. This is the end of your trip, but you will take home great memories of Sepilok, Kota Kinabalu, and the Orangutans.
