Day 1: Klias Wetland Proboscis Monkey & Fireflies Safari

Transfer from airport to your accommodation. Then, you proceed to Klias at Beaufort district. When you arrive at the dock, go for a safety training and some refreshments before starting your river cruise to look for wildlife. Here, you can see indigenous proboscis monkey as known as the long-nosed monkey along the river.

This area is part of the largest Klias wetland sanctuary in Sabah. Its recorded a large number of bird species including migratory birds. Besides, you will also have the opportunity to see the pig tailed and long tailed macaques. Moreover, the rare silver langur and water buffaloes. The cruise will last till sunset. When return to the jetty, you will witness a Mother Nature show of fire-flies, lighting up certain trees along the river.

Dinner on the jetty, return to Kota Kinabalu. Overnight at Kota Kinabalu Hotel.

Day 2 : Mari-Mari Cultural Village Tour

On this day, we will visit Mari-Mari Cultural Village a half day sightseeing for educational experience. earn how they used to live with traditional bamboo cooking, fire making, hunting with blowpipe and many more. Pick up at your accommodation and proceed to Mari Mari Cultural Village, located 25 minutes away from the city.

Upon arrival, teleport back to the times of ancient Borneo through the magical display of unique ingenious architecture, simulated lives and ritualistic ceremonies. You will be ushered in to the warmth of different homes of the ethnicities of Sabah to get acquainted with each village tribe and experience their rich culture.

ADDITIONAL:

Check out the little demonstration huts in the village where daily routines of traditional Sabahan life come alive. Grab the chance to see blowpipe-making demonstration, fire-starting demonstration using bamboo, tattoo-making demonstration, and get an in-depth look at the mystical symbolisms behind them. Get to see the dance and jump for “prize” on a built-in Lansaran, a traditional trampoline-like floor.

Also get a chance to sample Sabahan traditional delicacies from each ethnic group such as the Montoku (rice wine) and witness bamboo cooking. Have fun and enjoy the cultural show performance by the tribes before proceeding for a delectable traditional meal. Overnight at Kota Kinabalu Hotel.

Day 3 : Lok Kawi Wildlife Adventure

Here you can find an exotic and endangered species such as the Sumatran rhinoceros, The Proboscis monkeys, the Malayan tigers, the Orang Utan, Borneo Pygmy elephants and colorful horn-bill birds. On Botanical side you can visit the Herbal and Ginger Garden to catch a glimpse of pitcher plant.
