Day 1~KOTA KINABALU CITY TOURS

Welcome to your fun and easy KK Kinabalu Park Poring Sepilok Island trip!

Firstly, as soon as you land at the airport, your friendly guide will meet you with a smile. Right away, you will begin a simple and fun half-day city tour of Kota Kinabalu (KK).

First, you will see some of the most beautiful spots in KK, where you can enjoy the views and take nice photos. Then, you will visit some famous places like Wisma Tun Mustapha, the Sabah Museum, and the Sabah State & City Mosque. Also, the mosque is very big and beautiful.

Then, before ending the city tour, you will stop at a local handicraft shop. Here, you can buy small gifts and souvenirs to remember your time in KK.

Later, we will drive you to Kundasang, a quiet and cool town about 1.5 hours away. Along the way, you will enjoy the fresh mountain air and green hills. For your reference, Kundasang is at the foot of Mount Kinabalu, which makes it a great place to enjoy nature and peace.

Furthermore, when you arrive, you will check in at your hotel. After that, you can take a short walk, rest in your room, or just enjoy the nice weather. Then, the rest of the evening is free for you to relax.

Day 2~KINABALU NATIONAL PARK, PORING HOT SPRING AND SANDAKAN.

After breakfast, you will begin another fun day on your KK Kinabalu Park Poring Sepilok Island trip.

First, you will go to Kinabalu Park, one of the top nature spots in Sabah. Also, it is full of fresh air, cool weather, and beautiful trees.

Next, stop at the Botanical Garden. Here, you will see many kinds of plants. Look for orchids, ferns, rhododendrons, pitcher plants, and even trees that smell like kerosene.

After that, at 11:00 AM, a park ranger will talk to you. Additionally, you will learn about the plants and animals in this area. Furthermore, many of them live only in Borneo and nowhere else in the world.

Then, enjoy a 90-minute jungle walk near the Park Headquarters. Besides, this walk is an easy way to see the Montane Forest. Then, you may see flowers, birds, insects, and other small animals.

Soon after, it will be time for lunch. Later, you will eat at a local restaurant where you can enjoy simple and tasty food.

Later, you will travel to Poring Hot Springs, about 42 kilometers from Kinabalu Park. In the local language, the word “Poring” means bamboo.

Once there, take a short walk in the forest. Additionally, you will see big bamboo plants, fruit trees, and ginger plants with flowers you can eat.

After the walk, try the canopy walkway. Furthermore, it is a hanging bridge high in the trees, about 40 meters above the ground. (If you are afraid of heights, you can skip this.)

Then, relax in the hot or cold tubs filled with natural mineral water. Also, it’s a great way to rest your body after walking.

If you have extra time, you can visit the Butterfly Farm or take a short jungle trail for more fun.

By 4:00 PM, you will leave Poring and begin a 4-hour drive to Sepilok, your next stop on the KK Kinabalu Park Poring Sepilok Island journey.

When you arrive in Sepilok, check in to your hotel. You can choose to stay at:

• Sepilok Jungle Resort (2-star), or

• Sepilok Nature Resort (3-star)

Both hotels are only a 5-minute walk from the famous Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, where more amazing activities are waiting for you tomorrow.

Day 3~SEPILOK REHABILITATION CENTER AND KINABATANGAN RIVER.

After breakfast, your exciting KK Kinabalu Park Poring Sepilok Island journey continues. At 8:30 AM, you will walk to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, which is just a short walk from your hotel.

First, you will watch a short and easy-to-understand video show. This 20-minute video explains how the centre helps baby orangutans grow and learn the skills they need to live freely in the wild.

Next, you will walk to the feeding platform. At 10:00 AM, you will see park rangers feeding the orangutans. This is a special chance to watch these amazing animals up close and learn how they live in the forest.

Then, around 11:00 AM, you will take a short break to relax, use the bathroom, or freshen up before leaving Sepilok centre.

After that, the tour continues with a 2-hour drive to Kinabatangan, one of the most famous places for eco-tourism in Sabah. Along the road, you will pass by local villages, green hills, and wide palm oil farms. This is a great time to enjoy the natural views from your window.

By about 1:00 PM, you will reach Bilit, a small village by the Kinabatangan River. From there, you will take a short 5-minute boat ride in a traditional wooden sampan to your jungle lodge.

When you arrive at the lodge, you will enjoy a delicious lunch. After lunch, you can take a short rest, unpack your bags, or simply enjoy the peaceful jungle view.

Later, at around 4:00 PM, your afternoon river cruise will begin. This part of your KK Kinabalu Park Poring Sepilok Island tour is very special. You will travel along the Kinabatangan River, one of the longest and most wildlife-rich rivers in Sabah.

During the boat ride, look carefully! You might see wild animals like the Proboscis monkey, Orangutan, Long-tailed macaque, Hornbill, or the colorful Stork-billed Kingfisher. The boat ride takes about 1.5 hours in total, and you will return to your lodge just before dinner.

After dinner, you have two choices. You can either join a guided night jungle walk to look for more animals (you must go with a guide for safety), or you can stay at the lodge and relax while listening to the calm, quiet sounds of the jungle.

Day 4~TRANSFER BY FLIGHT TO SURVIVAL ISLAND.

After breakfast depart to Sandakan Airport for flight at 1105 hours to kota kinabalu. Upon your arrival at Kota Kinabalu airport, you be met and transfer to Kuala Penyu an estimate 1 hour 45 minutes drive, for your boat transfer to Pulau Tiga~Survivor Island . Next, the boat departs at 1500 hours approximately 30 minutes away. Once you arriving, briefing will be given on the island. Then, you have plenty of time to rest and see the sunset.

Day 5~TOURS IN SURVIVAL ISLAND AND TRANSFER TO AIRPORT.

      After breakfast, snorkeling activities with glittering blue waters, kayaks, banana boats and diving. Also available as well as wildlife such as monitor lizards, long-tailed monkeys while enjoying nature scenery. Soon after, lunch at the lodge before your boat schedule at 1400 hours back to the mainland. Your transportation will be waiting to transfer you to Kota Kinabalu.
