Day 1 Borneo Adventure And Leisure Vacation: Kinabalu National Park

Firstly, your Borneo Adventure and Leisure Vacation begins the moment you arrive. First, our team will warmly welcome you at the airport. Then, we will drive you overland to Kinabalu National Park. For your reference, this relaxing journey takes about 2 hours and passes through green valleys with beautiful mountain views.

Along the way, we will stop at the famous Nabalu market. Here, you can enjoy the cool breeze, take photos of the mountain, and shop for local souvenirs. Also, this is a great chance to stretch your legs and feel the fresh start of your Borneo Adventure and Leisure Vacation.

Next, we will take you to Pine Resort (or a similar stay) in Kundasang, located at the foot of Mount Kinabalu. Then, after check-in, you can choose how you want to spend the rest of your day.

For example, you may visit the War Memorial, the Fruit Market, or the Vegetable Market on your own. Or, if you prefer, you can just relax at the resort and enjoy the cool mountain air.

Besides, this calm and easy day helps you settle in and enjoy the peaceful start of your Borneo Adventure and Leisure Vacation.

Day 2 Borneo Adventure And Leisure Vacation: Climbing Mount Kinabalu

The next morning, you will continue your Borneo Adventure and Leisure Vacation with a new and exciting experience. After you finish your breakfast, our team will bring you to the Park Headquarters by 8:00 AM to start your mountain climbing registration.

Once you complete the simple forms, you will meet your kind and helpful mountain guide. Right after that, we will drive you to Timpohon Gate, which is the starting point of your hike up Mount Kinabalu.

From there, your Borneo Adventure and Leisure Vacation becomes even more fun and active. Then, you will start a cool and fresh forest trek. Furthermore, the hike usually takes around 4 to 5 hours. During the climb, you will breathe in the clean mountain air, enjoy the peaceful forest, and see amazing nature views.

In the afternoon, you will arrive at the base camp. Later, you will check into a basic but cozy mountain hut and rest your legs. Around 5:00 PM, you will enjoy a hot meal while relaxing in the cold mountain breeze.

Later that night, your guide will give you a short and simple briefing to help you get ready for the early morning summit climb. Also, this useful session is another exciting step in your Borneo Adventure and Leisure Vacation, and a peaceful way to end a full day.

Day 3 

The next exciting part of your Borneo Adventure and Leisure Vacation begins very early in the morning. At around 2:45 AM, you will start your final climb to the summit of Mount Kinabalu. The hike usually takes about 3 hours. If the sky is clear, you will reach the top just in time to watch a beautiful and peaceful sunrise.

From the summit, you can enjoy a wide and stunning view of the “Land Below the Wind.” This special moment is one of the most unforgettable highlights of your Borneo Adventure and Leisure Vacation.

After taking in the view and snapping a few photos, you will begin your descent back to base camp. When you arrive, a warm and filling breakfast will be ready for you. After a short rest, you will continue the hike down to Timpohon Gate, which takes about another 3 hours.

At the gate, our team will meet you and get you ready for the next journey in your Borneo Adventure and Leisure Vacation. You will travel by car to Sepilok Jungle Resort, located in the heart of the Kabili Forest Reserve. The drive takes around 5 hours. During the ride, you can relax, enjoy the changing views, or take a nap.

This smooth trip from the cool mountain to the quiet jungle adds more variety to your Borneo Adventure and Leisure Vacation, letting you explore even more of Sabah’s rich natural beauty.

Day 4 Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre

Next, you will continue your Borneo Adventure and Leisure Vacation with an exciting stop at the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, located in Sabah, North Borneo. This important center opened in 1964 to rescue and care for orphaned orangutans, teaching them how to live safely in the wild again.

Today, about 60 to 80 orangutans live freely in the surrounding forest. Many of them explore on their own, but they often return to the center during feeding times.

The first feeding usually starts at 10:00 AM, and the second begins at 3:00 PM. You can choose to attend one or both sessions. These moments give you a great chance to see orangutans up close as they swing through the trees and gather at the feeding platform.

If you prefer a calm and quiet activity, you can take a short, easy walk along the rainforest trail. As you walk, you may hear the sounds of birds, see butterflies, or spot other small forest animals.

This visit adds another rich and meaningful moment to your Borneo Adventure and Leisure Vacation. It helps you enjoy Sabah’s amazing wildlife and also supports important efforts to protect these endangered animals.

Day 5 Kota Kinabalu City tour

After breakfast, you will continue your Borneo Adventure and Leisure Vacation with a short ride to Sandakan Airport. From there, you will board a flight back to Kota Kinabalu. Upon arrival, our friendly team will welcome you and begin your exciting city tour right away.

First, you will visit some of the most scenic places around the city. You will enjoy beautiful views and get a good feel of the lively local life. Next, your tour will take you to several famous landmarks and cultural attractions. These include the 30-storey Wisma Tun Mustapha, also called the Sabah Foundation Building, the fascinating Sabah Museum with its rich display of local history and culture, and the grand Sabah State & City Mosque, one of the most beautiful mosques in all of Sabah.

Then, you will continue your Borneo Adventure and Leisure Vacation with a visit to Signal Hill, a natural lookout point where you can enjoy wide views of the city and the sea. It’s a peaceful place to take photos and enjoy the fresh air.

To end your tour, you will stop at Imago Mall, one of Kota Kinabalu’s most popular shopping spots. Here, you can browse for souvenirs, local products, or small gifts to take home as reminders of your Borneo Adventure and Leisure Vacation.

Finally, we will drive you back to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu. Take this time to relax and look back on the amazing memories you’ve made during your unforgettable Borneo Adventure and Leisure Vacation.

Day 6 Manukan island

       Next morning, you be transfer to the wharf at 0800 hours for Manukan island, the second largest island in the park and the most developed. Here, you can snorkel, dive, swim or walk under the sea. In addition, an option for those who are enthusiasm of water sport, Parasailing, Jet ski, Flying Fish etc are optional at the island. Then, by 1600 hours, take the boat (20 minutes ride) back to the mainland for and your transportation will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel.
