Day 01: KKIA to City Tour and Mari Mari Cultural Dance

Firstly, your driver picks you up from your hotel, and your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE begins with a city tour. First, you drive around the city and enjoy the nice views. This is a great start to your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

Next, you visit Wisma Tun Mustapha. This is a tall building, also called the Sabah Foundation Building. After that, you go to the Sabah Museum. Here, you learn about the history and culture of BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

Then, you visit the Sabah State & City Mosque. Moreover, it is known for its beautiful design. This is a special part of your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE. The view is very nice, and it’s a relaxing part of your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

Later, you stop at a local shop. Also, you can buy small gifts to remind you of your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE. After the city tour, you can return to your hotel or visit a shopping mall if you want.

In the afternoon, your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE continues with a visit to the Mari Mari Cultural Villag in Inanam, Kota Kinabalu. Besides, the village helps keep the culture of BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE alive. Then, you will learn about the people and traditions of Borneo.

In addition, you will meet five groups in the village: the Kadazan-Dusun rice farmers, the Rungus who live in longhouses, the Lundayeh hunters and fishermen, the Bajau cowboys, and the Murut, who are known for headhunting. This is a very interesting part of your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

Additionally, you can visit the village in the morning, afternoon, or evening. Your guide will meet you at the hotel. The drive to Inanam takes about 25 minutes. When you arrive, your guide will greet you with a special ceremony. This is a warm welcome to your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

At the village, you can see homes built by the Bajau, Lundayeh, Murut, Rungus, and Dusun tribes. Also, you can try activities like food tasting, making tattoos, using blowpipes, and playing music. These are fun things to do in your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

Besides, you will also watch a dance show. It is a fun part of your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE. The visit lasts about two hours. Afterward, you enjoy a tasty lunch. Then, your transport will take you back to your hotel to rest and continue BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE on the next day. This is a great end to your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

Day 02: Borneo Sabah Adventure – Tip of Borneo / Overnight

Next, you meet your guide at 8:00 AM in the hotel lobby. Your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE begins with a trip to the Tip of Borneo.

Then, the drive takes you through many coconut trees and quiet villages. For your reference, it takes about 3 hours to reach Kudat from Kota Kinabalu. This drive is a nice part of your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

First, your stop is Gombizau Village. People here keep bees and make fresh honey. Moreover, they say honey is good for health. As well, you can try some honey. This is a sweet stop in your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

Next, you go to Sumangkap Village. Also, people here make gongs. A gong is a big round metal drum. Additionally, they use it for special events like weddings. You can see how they make gongs and hear the sound. This is a special stop on your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

Then, you visit a Rungus Longhouse in Bavanggazo. You will have lunch there. While you eat, you can watch the local people dance in their traditional clothes. The food is tasty, and the dance is fun. This is a happy part of your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

Later, you go to Simpang Mengayau, also called the Tip of Borneo. In addition, this is a quiet beach at the edge of the land. You can walk on the sand and look at the blue sea. Some people say that Magellan came here many years ago. If you like the sea, you can dive and see colorful fish and old shipwrecks. This is another fun stop on your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

Later, in the afternoon, you go to your hotel in Kudat. You can rest and enjoy the evening. This day is full of happy memories from your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

Day 03: Kinabalu National Park and Poring Hot Spring / Overnight (Kundasang)

At 8:30 AM, your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE begins. We pick you up from your hotel. Besides, you enjoy a nice drive through the Crocker Range.

After about 2.5 hours, you reach Kundasang, a small town at the base of Mount Kinabalu. What’s more, the first stop on your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE is Pekan Nabalu. It is a small village with shops and great views of the mountain. A long time ago, Sir Hugh Low stopped here before climbing the mountain. It is a part of your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

Furthermore, you spend 30 minutes in Pekan Nabalu. Then, you drive to Kinabalu National Park. Besides, this is where climbers sign in before climbing the mountain. At Timpohon Gate, you stop to take pictures. It’s an important part of your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

Next, your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE takes you on a 42 km drive to Poring Hot Springs. Also, this place is famous for its bamboo and warm water. Following that, you walk through the forest and see big bamboo, fruit trees, and tall plants. This is a fun part of your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

You can also walk on a bridge that is 40 meters high. It’s a little scary, but it’s a fun part of your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE if you are not afraid of heights.

Then, you relax in tubs filled with hot or cold water from the springs. Moreover, the air is fresh, and it feels very nice. You can also visit the Butterfly Farm or take a short walk in the jungle as optional in BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

At 4:00 PM, your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE for the day ends. Finally, we take you back to your hotel or the airport. You can rest and think about the fun things you saw on your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

Day 04: Kundasang to Sandakan City Tour / Overnight

Your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE starts in the morning. First, you visit places near the mountain. You see trees, hills, and breathe fresh air.

After lunch, your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE takes you to Sepilok. For your reference, the drive takes about 4 hours. As well, you pass small villages and green farms along the way.

First, you stop at the Sandakan War Memorial. Moreover, this place shows stories from World War 2. Also, you learn about people who lived and died here.

Next, your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE takes you to Sandakan Pavilion. It’s a peaceful place. From here, you can see the sea and the town.

Then, you visit the Agnes Keith House. Agnes was a writer. Her house is now a museum. Besides, you see old things and learn about life in the past in Borneo.

Later, your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE takes you to Sim Sim Water Village. People live in wooden houses above the sea. Later, you walk on wooden paths and see how they live.

At the end of the day, your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE takes you to your hotel in Sandakan. You check in, relax, and rest for the next day of your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

Day 05: BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE – Selingan Island

At first, your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE takes you to Selingan Island, part of Turtle Islands Park. As well, this park is just 3 kilometers north of Sandakan. In addition, the park includes three islands: Selingan, Bakkungan Kechil, and Gulisaa. Green turtles and hawksbill turtles come here to lay their eggs.

Besides, the park covers 17.4 square kilometers. BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE shows you these islands, with 3 islands in Malaysia and 7 in the Philippines.

At 08:30, your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE starts when we pick you up from your hotel. Thereafter, we drive you to Crystal Quest jetty, where you take the boat to Selingan Island at 09:00.

Furthermore, the boat ride takes 1 hour. Once you arrive, you register at the park office.

After registration, you enjoy lunch. Then, you can either snorkel or just relax on the beach. BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE lets you enjoy the crystal-clear water and sandy beach.

Before dinner, you watch a video. It teaches you about the turtles and Selingan Island.

Later in the evening, you wait for the ranger’s signal. Also, the turtles usually arrive between 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM, but sometimes they come earlier. Subsequently, when the turtles arrive, you can watch them lay eggs. After that, the park ranger moves the eggs to a safe place. Then, you can see baby turtles being released into the ocean.

On top of that, your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE on Selingan Island is an amazing experience. You get to learn about turtles and watch them in their natural habitat.

Day 06: BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE – Langkayan Island/ NON-DIVER PACKAGE

To start, your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE begins after breakfast. For your reference, the boat leaves for the mainland jetty at 07:00. Once you arrive, we will take you to Sandakan Airport for your next flight.

For your information, Lankayan Island Dive Resort is a tropical paradise in the heart of your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE. Moreover, the island has clean beaches, big rooms, delicious food, and amazing diving. Furthermore, it’s located in the Sulu Sea, just 1.5 hours by boat from Sandakan. It’s a perfect spot for divers, with over 30 dive sites, including two wrecks.

From Kota Kinabalu Airport, you will fly to Sandakan. We will take care of transport from the airport to the island.

Additionally, Lankayan Island is soon becoming part of a large Marine Conservation Area, making it a special spot on your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE. Moreover, the island remains natural and is covered with thick rainforest. Then, the resort sits on a long, white beach, providing you with a peaceful environment in beautiful wooden chalets.

Later, meals are served in an open building, and after dinner, you can relax on the wooden terrace. From here, you can watch small blacktip sharks swim below, making your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE even more exciting.

Besides, Lankayan Island is the perfect place for anyone seeking peace in nature. Families with kids love it here too. Your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE includes great diving spots with easy access. Other than that, the dive sites are close, full of colorful fish and cool wrecks. From March to May, you may even get a chance to see giant whale sharks – a dream for divers in BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

General Terms & Conditions

• Reservation/Deposit/Full Payment.

• Reservation should be made through Borneo Fullforce Tours And Travel Sdn Bhd and appointed travel agents’ office at least sixty (60) days in advance. Bookings can be made by either email or fax. Upon receipt of a booking, deposit, the company will email a return confirmation with booking number at which point the booking will be deemed to have been made.

• A non-refundable deposit is required and payable upon confirmation for the following to secure a confirmed booking :

• Full payment must be made at least thirty (30) days before arrival date. If for whatever reason, we do not receive the balance on, or before the due date, Borneo Fullforce Tours And Travel Sdn Bhd withhold the right to cancel your booking. Any deposits paid are non-refundable.

A guest deposit is understood to be a formal & binding commitment to pay for the vacation package in full, to take the activities that you requested and that Borneo Fullforce Tours And Travel Sdn Bhd fulfilled in good faith. The deposit is non-refundable. Furthermore, submission of a deposit by any guest indicates that guest’s full acceptance of Resort’s Booking Terms & Conditions. When a booking is made, space is held and other bookings are turned away. We stand by our confirmed bookings and respectfully request that you do the same. Thank you for your understanding.

2) Bookings within thirty (30) days.

Bookings accepted within thirty (30) days subject to availability of accommodation. Full payment is required to secure this booking.

3) Accompanying Children and Infants.

Child price is based on a child aged 3 and above but below 12 years old and sharing room with adults or their parents. 50% of the non-dive package price will be charged to a child between 3-12 years old.

There are no packages for infants and child below 3 years.

4) Package Price Excludes.

Airfares, snorkel or dive gear hire, beverages, laundry, room service, and others not specified or mentioned in the tour itinerary or in brochures.

5) Divers Certification and Equipment

Only certified divers may participate in scuba diving activities unless they are enrolled in a scuba training program and under the direct supervision of their certified Instructor. Guests need to produce their certification card prior to diving. Failure to produce certification card/credentials may result in the guest being denied permission to scuba dive until they can prove their certification level.

(Certified divers minimum requirement is PADI Open Water-recreational dive certificate  or equivalent)

All scuba divers must accept full and complete responsibility for themselves, their actions and their equipment. Divers may elect to use their own gear, or arrange to rent and use our dive equipment.

6) Extension stays request.

One may apply for an extension of stay while at the resort but subject to accommodation availability.

7) Cancellation Charges/Refund.

Please notify us via email of the intention to cancel any booking at the earliest instance available.

After commencement of service, no refund, in part or full, will be given for services included in the package which have not been utilized. Where a guest fails to complete a dive, dive course or fails to participate in pre-booked or packaged activities for any reason (including ill health) or free choice, they will still be charged for the package.

For example, if a guest books a package which includes 5 days of diving and on the third day they abort their first dive because they couldn’t equalize. When that guest checks out, they will still be charged for the package and advised to make a claim on their travel insurance.

In the event of cancellation after full payment, the following will apply minus any bank charges, credit card charges and any exchange rate losses, if incurred:

1. a) From 29-16 days b4 arrival in Sabah – 30% of the trip’s full price forfeited

2. b) From 14 days to arrival date in Sabah – 50% of the trip’s full price forfeited

3. c) From 7 days to arrival date in Sabah – 75% of the trip’s full price forfeited

4. d) “No show” by the customer – 100% of the trip’s full price forfeited

8) Unforeseen Circumstances

The company does not accept responsibility for any delay, additional expense or inconvenience which may be caused directly or indirectly by events outside of the company control, such as late arrival of domestic or international flights, civil disturbance, fire, floods, unusually severe weather, act of God, act of Government, or the failure of any machinery or equipment. Additionally, the resort will not accept any responsibility for any injury, guest loss of or damage to personal equipment and property whilst staying at the resort, or during participation in any activity.

In the unlikely event that the dive trip is canceled due to bad weather, rough and dangerous sea conditions, a natural disaster, an act of God, war, political unrest, a danger to passengers, or the boat, then the resort has the right to cancel or delay the departure. The resort withholds the right to change the planned itinerary, leave for jetty early or change the schedule.

9) Liability

Borneo Fullforce Tours And Travel Sdn Bhd. cannot be held responsible, or in any way liable, for property losses, personal losses, accidents, injury, or death for any reason whatsoever, whether through any activities booked through us, or caused to you by third parties connected, or not connected to us. The company will not be liable, for any additional expenses incurred by customers, for any reasons whatsoever. If a complaint is received about the package, for any reason, the company will agree to investigate and may act upon the complaint dependent upon our findings.

All guests/customers will be required to read and sign the company Standard Liability form and other related forms at the resort upon arrival or check-in. Refusal by a guest to sign such documents will prevent the resort from providing such activities.

*** Infant, Pregnant Woman, Young Children, and Senior Citizen are NOT ALLOWED to travel to islands BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE (SKDR & LIDR) during Monsoon Season or bad sea condition for safety concern.

10) Insurance

In BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE, we recommend that if you intend to go scuba diving, make sure you have an insurance policy that covers this activity.  We strongly recommend that all guests take out adequate travel insurance covers accident, loss caused by cancellations, loss of luggage, personal property, medical expenses, medical evacuation and weather disruption/cancellations (including activity cancellations).

Guests intending on participating in diving activities must ensure their insurance covers them for SCUBA related activities and has appropriate ‘depth ‘ coverage.

11) Travel Documentation

Please check you have the required travel documents before booking your dive trip for 9 DAYS 8 NIGHTS BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE. Make sure your passport has at least 6 months to run from your time of entry into Malaysia.

Day 08: BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE – Langkayan to Sandakan City Tour Overnight

First of all, your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE begins at 08:00 with a drive to Sepilok. Then, the trip takes about 6 hours. As you travel, you pass small villages and palm oil farms. You will stop for bathroom breaks and refreshments. This gives you a chance to see how people live in the villages along the way.

Furthermore, the first stop on your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE is the World War 2 Memorial Park. Moreover, this park remembers the Sandakan Death March. Over 3,600 Indonesian workers and 2,400 Allied prisoners of war lost their lives during the march under Japanese control in World War II.

Next, we head to the Puu Jih Shih Buddhist Temple. This temple is on a hill above Tanah Merah. From here, you get a beautiful view of Sandakan Bay, making this part of your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE even more memorable.

Then, we visit the Agnes Keith House. This house has been restored and turned into a heritage site. It offers a look into what life was like during the British North Borneo era, adding a historical layer to your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE.

Afterward, you visit Kampung Buli Sim Sim, a large water village. The original town of Sandakan was close by. The village is made up of wooden houses built on stilts above the sea. The walkways connect the houses. The villagers still follow traditional fishing practices, passed down through generations. This part of your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE shows you the unique way of life that has been preserved for many years.

Finally, you check in at your hotel. You have free time to relax or explore on your own. Your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE continues as you discover more of the city.

Day 09: BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE – Labuk Bay and Transfers to the Airport

Start your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE DAY 9 with a visit to the Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary. It’s a special part of your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE. You’ll see proboscis monkeys up close in their home.

The sanctuary is in a forest near Samawang Village at Labuk Bay, Sandakan. It’s a must-see on your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE. You can see three family groups and one bachelor group of proboscis monkeys. In BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE, you may also spot other animals like Silver Leaf Monkeys, Pig-tailed Macaques, Oriental Pied Hornbills, Otters, White-bellied Woodpeckers, and Kingfishers.

Your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE also gives you great chances to take pictures of these animals. It’s perfect for nature lovers and photographers.

After the visit, we will take you to Sandakan Airport, finishing your BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE. Whether you are going home or to another place, you will always remember BORNEO SABAH ADVENTURE trip.
