Survivor Island Pulau Tiga Day Trip. Tiga Island is one of a group of small uninhabited islands in Kimanis Bay off the western coast of Sabah, Malaysia. The islands were formed on 21 September 1897, when an earthquake on Mindanao caused a volcanic eruption near Borneo. In addition, the island also has 607 hectares (1,500 acres) in size and has a couple of active mud volcanos at the highest part of the island. Tiga Island is one of the three islands that make up Tiga Island National Park. The Park Headquarters are on the island, comprising an office complex, and accommodation for the park staff and visiting scientists.
Firstly, meet by 0700 hours at your hotel lobby. Then, overland transfer of 1 hour 45 minutes to Pulau Tiga jetty at Kuala Penyu. Passing through historical villages with countryside scenery. Upon your arrival, you might have the opportunity to wonder the small town of Kuala Penyu before the scheduled boat at 0930 hours to the Survivor Island. The boat ride transfer will take approximately 30 minutes. After that, you will be meet by their in-house guide. The guide will brief you about the island and advise on your activities such as walk to the “Mud Volcano”, Snorkelling, Jungle Trail, Kayaking, or simply relax at the beachside.
Next, lunch will be provided at the restaurant which you also may buy some snacks and beverages. Otherwise, you can visit the “Snake Island” that available upon request.
